The ISO has issued its Draft Decision Paper on the NWIS EMT Model Development Plan.
The Draft Decision Paper addresses each of the queries which were consulted on under the EMT Modelling Issues Paper:
Query 1: Are EMT studies required for the NWIS?
Query 2: Which EMT study approach should be used?
Query 3: What is the preferred EMT platform and model interface?
The ISO invites stakeholders to provide written feedback on the Draft Decision by sending their submissions to submissions@pilbaraisoco.com.au. To ensure transparency, submissions will be published on ISO’s website and relevant feedback will receive a response. For more information, contact info@pilbaraisoco.com.au.
The indicative consultation process timeline is as follows:

Submissions
The public consultation period has now closed. However, noting that some stakeholders have expressed interest in making a submission but were unable to meet the official deadline, the ISO will continue to accept public submissions. The ISO will make best endeavours to take late submissions into account, subject to the practical requirements of drafting the Final Decision.
Pilbara ISOCo is inviting stakeholders to provide feedback on the EMT Modelling Draft Decision Paper before 5:00PM (GMT+8) on Friday 24 April 2026.
All submissions received are taken into account in decision-making.
Submissions received will be published on this website. If a submission contains confidential information, you should notify the Pilbara ISOCo of this when making your submission. The submission must clearly identify the information that is the subject of the claim for confidentiality and you must also supply a non-confidential version of the submission.
Submissions must be received by the deadline. Please provide submissions electronically via our online form.
