Rule 178 of the Pilbara Networks Rules (Rules) requires the ISO to periodically conduct a review of the processes set out in Subchapters 7.3 and 7.4 against the Pilbara Electricity Objective. Subchapters 7.3 and 7.4 deal with system coordination and the notification of planned and unplanned outages.
Under Rule 178, the ISO is required to consult with registered NSPs, registered controllers and undertake public consultation following the expedited consultation process set out in Appendix 1 of the Rules. At the conclusion of the review, the ISO must publish a report containing any recommended changes to Subchapters 7.3 and 7.4 or the associated Procedures.
Public consultation is an important part of ISO’s transparent decision-making process, and the ISO welcomes stakeholder feedback on the Draft Decision or otherwise in relation to the processes set out in Subchapters 7.3 and 7.4 and the associated Procedures. All consultation will be undertaken in accordance with the ISO’s Consultation Policy.
